Year 7 have been studying ‘The Island’ in Humanities. This develops historical, geographical and religious studies skills to learn how to survive as a community on the island. The unit of work is coming to an end and the students hoped to be rescued by their families. This week, 4 of the 5 Year 7 Humanities classes have celebrated leaving ‘The Island’ with their families, explaining to them how they survived. The 5th class is structured differently and will do the same towards the end of term.
It has been a pleasure to welcome Year 7 parents into school during Humanities lessons this week, and for the students to have the opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they have produced. They have much to be proud of!
