How we assess students:

Students are assessed according to AQA Assessment objectives: AO1: Develop, AO2: Refine, AO3: Record, AO4: Present.

The course is graded based upon a 60% coursework, and 40% Exam basis. Students will produce ‘Portfolio of work’ and an ‘Externally set task’ for submission at the end of the course in Yr11.

How homework is set:

Homework is set according to the current project and is designed to develop and support cousework or exam preparations.

How parents/carers can support their child:

Encourage children to draw and doodle at every opportunity either inspired by the world around them, their imagination or fictional characters. Visit galleries and exhibitions to allow children to experience Art away from a screen or a page and in the flesh.
