Unit 2 Mock Final Showcase – responding to a practice exam brief working as an ensemble to research, plan and prepare a practical performance to perform in exam conditions.
Summer Term (term 5 and 6) Y10
Contextual understanding of work related aspects, working as a production team and researching venues and health and safety methods.
Review skills audits and Unit 1 Skills development coursework, focussing on strengths in strongest art form. Completing log books to track progress and updating skills audits.
Spring Term (term 3 and 4) Y11
Unit 2 Final Showcase exam brief given and responding working as to research, plan and prepare a practical performance to perform in exam conditions for an external moderator. Completing further Unit 1 Skills Development coursework and final review of skills development.

This is assessed through a combination of practical and written tasks focussed on and around students’ own development plan.
Unit 2 Final Showcase is assessed by an external moderator from the exam board in the following areas:
