How we assess students:

PEE paragraphs completed in lessons, end of topic assessment pieces (one per term), homework projects, self and peer assessment every other lesson, exam practice questions.

How homework is set (please see Discovery homework timetable on our website for details):

History homework terms are Term 2 (due last week of term in December) and term 5.

How parents/carers can support their child:

Encourage reading beyond the classroom. Keen interests in historical knowledge can be supported using a variety of methods, many of which are all around us. Our local area can provide sites to visit and TV documentaries can support an interested mind. Support from parents with homework projects is encouraged.
