KS3 Homework Timetable
The School Homework Policy recommends that students should be expected to spend 45-90 minutes per day on homework in Year7 & Year8 and 60-120 minutes per day in Year 9. This time should be spent in proportion to the number of periods students have in each subject. Many subject teachers may wish to pick specific periods in which homework will always be set, others may need the flexibility to set homework dependent on rates of progress. What is fixed is the expectation that students will be completing a steady flow of homework tasks directly related to the each subject's Schemes of Work.
The following tables are issued to students in tutor
time and stuck into diaries.
Students are asked to add to their diarised homework tasks a
circled number of the minutes spent on any HW task.
