Welcome to Performing Arts
The performing Arts Department consists of the three art forms; Dance, Drama and Music. Five specialist members of staff deliver the curriculum supported by various non-specialists and a part-time technician. The department prides itself on its energetic and dedicated ethos which encourages excellence both in the classroom and during extra-curricular activities.

The Aims of the PA Department
The arts make essential contibutions in six main areas of educational responsibility:
- To contribute to the development of the full variety of children's intellegence
- To develop the capacity for creative thought and action
- To contribute to the capacity for creative thought and action
- To facilitate the exploration of values
- To increase awareness of cultural change and differences
- To develop physical and perceptual skill
The process of making in the arts provides all young people with fundamental ways of formulating and communicating their understanding of the world in which they live.
