It’s Magic – creating drama based on King Arthur, Midsummer Nights Dream and other texts

Blast from the Past – creating an arrangement of a piece of music from the Baroque Period

Hip Hop Hooray – Commercial dance in hip hop style

Teechers – extracts from the play teechers covering a range of skills and techniques

Conflict – devising a piece of drama using stage combat skills

We’re Jammin’ – Work as a group to create performances in a variety of popular styles

Dance:

Pick a Prop – choreography incorporating the use of a prop

Drama:

Don’t Make me Laugh – exploring the genres of silent movies, melodrama and commedia dell’arte

Music:

Songwriting – using your musical knowledge to compose a piece of music in a style of your choice
Summer Term  (term 5 and 6) Y8 –

Dance:

All in this together Act II – Group performance based on a piece of Musical Theatre

Drama:

The Chill Factor – Scriptwriting on all things macabre!

Music:

Stars in their Eyes – perform as a soloist or ensemble a song of your choice
